Sunbather
The light at this time in the evening is still strong and shiny. Today was the yellowest I have seen it be. The garden is bathed in a golden glow. Autumn is on its way soon, you can almost tell by the quality of the tones in the sky!
The verbena is having a nice late-summer rush. There's been a distinct lack of light and a lot of rain recently, so the pansies are doing well, but the lobelia really failing - not enough sun. The salvia are also having somewhat of a late-summer revolution, with their trumpetting riot flowers really putting on a great show too.
A lot of problem-solving at work today. Lots going on. Some accidental miscommunication, and some purposeful miscommunication - none of this is ever helpful! Enough that my brain has turned a little to mush at the end of the day, and a quick sojourn in the garden was required, watching the flowers and leaves dance in the wind. We still have some gusty winds, but nothing like yesterday!
I also managed to FINALLY sort out an issue with my next trip - I had bought airline tickets with money held over from a cancelled trip, but the tickets hadn't yet "ticketed" so I wasn't actually able to go. The ticket came through, but I couldn't book a seat! It turns out the frequent flier number wasn't added to the booking somehow, which I then couldn't do myself and had to ask someone else to help sort. I'm generally ok at computer literacy and if I was struggling... I really dare not think about people who may not be as technologically minded!
I can now book the hotel (well, I will do this tomorrow on pay-day) and may have to readjust my plans, as it looks like the hotel I wanted to stay at is fully booked now - I have been waiting a month for the plane ticket! Oh dear...
I also have been thinking of documenting all of my travels from different times as it's good to remember things. I've kicked that off with a new project to document, write-up and share photos from many trips I have been on throughout the years - and will add in some trip-planning and other bits too.
I also made Pad Krapow (Thai holy basil stir fry with beans, broccoli, any kind of mince and usually topped with a fried egg and served with rice) for dinner and there are plenty of leftovers for lunch, dinner and probably lunch again tomorrow. It's even more tasty when left overnight so that all the flavours can mingle! Yum.
It's been a super productive day today now I wrote it all down!
