We had some business in Pontivy today...

I've blipped this statue before. This is the main road in and out with the typically french avenue of trees. Pontivy as it is now was created from a village and called Napoleonville as Napoleon 1st modernised it in the 1800s and built the Brest to Nantes canal which passes through the town.

I have luckily managed to get my technical issues sorted and with lots of patience I now have a time machine backup on one external hard drive and 2 external hard drives of everything I've made since 2017...Did I mention we have had no internet or 4G either here or in the nearby village at all today. Makes it hard looking things up which we do a lot!

Phew!

Little known fact - Pontivy is twinned with Tavistock in Devon, which is not far from my birthplace of Plymouth. Small world...
