Have you ever bought a new car?

There's a process to go through in identifying the specific make and model - even the colour.

What often happens between the time of your decision and your purchase, is that you begin to see that exact car everywhere you go!

What about planning your dream holiday destination?

As soon as you know for sure that you're going, there'll be mention of that particular place more frequently. Your eyes will find magazine articles or you'll catch snippets of conversation that you'd never normally be aware of.

It's all about RAS!

And so it often is with our dreams, our goals and our plans.

As we identify and begin to focus on those achievements - personal, business or otherwise - Our awareness of them becomes heightened - It's like they've been pushed into the forefront of our minds.

A friend and I have begun to set ourselves some regular RAS Challenges.

This has been fun, frustrating and rewarding all at the same time!

Fun, because it taps into a little competitiveness!

Frustrating, because it requires patience!

Rewarding, because when RAS fully kicks in it can be extremely satisfying!

One week ago, the challenge was a purple butterfly.

Tonight, I saw two within five minutes of one another!

A butterfly drawing pinned to my sister's fridge and a large, bendy butterfly under the table!
