Looking towards Cumbria

From the track above the oh-so-atmospheric Cairn Holy chambered tombs in/above Kirkdale a few miles west of Gatehouse of Fleet. I was mooching about in Storm Floris hoping it might blow a house out of the trees.

Had an interesting wander round Creetown- a salmon and granite quarry industrial village on the Cree estuary after spending the night in Gatehouse which was a textile and shipbuilding village back in the day.

A fairly hairy drive back, particularly going north on the M74 where the gale force wind, valley-channelled, was like the smashing breakers of a storm.
