Obedient Plant aka Physostegia Virginiana
We are having another mild, beautiful summer day. Our forecast for the coming week says we will have wonderful weather each day. I enjoyed breakfast on the front porch. Just started a new book. My plan was to read after morning prayers. Instead, I decided to get my blip of my obedient plant’s delicate white blossoms and come back to read. If you give a mouse a cookie…. I weeded that garden, trimmed dead branches off my dogwoods, decided to trim my weeping cherry and the tree that’s by hubby’s shed (forget the name). Momma got up while I was under the cherry tree. Hubby made her pancakes and cantaloupe to go with her chocolate raspberry coffee. I guess some insect bit me because my wrist started burning and it swelled/turned red. That marked the end of my landscaping work. Hubby took over until he had to change clothes. After a first aid session for Momma (she has a few spots from her dermo visit) and me, I set her up on the porch. We enjoyed the antics of our three hummers vying for the feeders that hang around the porch. Those tiny birds whiz by and you just pray those sharp beaks don’t jab you. After lunch, I made a German chocolate cake for my uncle’s repast tomorrow. Still have to frost it. Hubby had a doctor’s appointment, is shopping for me, will go to lunch and then to feed the pets if there is time before prayers. I am resting my heel but have to get Momma and myself ready to leave by 6:00. Tomorrow and Wednesday will also be busy. Looking forward to a quiet Thursday! Wishing you some “you” time this week. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “In white blossoms, find the elegance of simplicity.” – Unknown
