A Sea Bird with a Difference Today!

The flying boat, Catalina G-PBYA flew over Oban Bay this morning before landing at the airport to go on display this afternoon. Captured a quick shot before I left town.

I understand during the second World War there were a number of Catalina's based in Oban and flew from there on anti-submarine operations. I must visit Oban's fantastic War and Peace museum to find out more about this visitor!
