Harrington shore.

It has been windy for most of the day.  This was the second visit.  The first was just before 8am when it was darkish, because of the clouds, but the sea wasn't that wild at all.  As you can see from the photo the day turned out sunny for the second part of the day.  This one was taken just after 1pm.  This is a panorama.  It shows the turbines above the village of Lowca and coastal defences.  Defences of huge blocks and old rails.  Remember rails were once made at Workington, rails that went to many countries around the world.  (The steel works have long gone, but if you visit Workington station there are information boards telling of the town's industrial history.)  This a local view for me and photographed many times and one I never get tired of.  St Bees Head is on the horizon.
I have included an extra showing Blencathra/Rosebay Willowherb from roughly the same position as yesterday's Blip.  I have said I visit the same places in different weathers and this was around 8.30am this morning.  A bit different and a good chance it will be different tomorrow.
