Sunday Funday ...

... Clearwing hummingbird moth.

And about time, too! 

On our way to Jacobsburg State Park for our walk this afternoon we stopped by our favorite local farm stand for some fresh corn. New this year at this farm is a beautiful sunflower field. And they also had some zinnias planted nearby. On the way out I was thrilled to see a clearwing hummingbird moth enjoying these beautiful flowers. And was even more thrilled to finally get some decent shots of one ... something I've been trying since seeing my first one a few weeks ago.

Once we were done taking lots of pictures of this clearwing we headed over to Jacobsburg for our walk. Since we had already walked through the sunflower field we opted to just do the Henry's Woods trail ... walking only to the creek and back.

I took way too many pictures today ... mostly of this clearwing moth ... so I've added a couple more to my Facebook feed. Including a gorgeous white dog in the creek.  And another shot of this clearwing.
