Heather honey

Arkle and finn walked.

Headed to heather site bees for a wee check.

Eco son took me up to the locked gate and I walked the rest with an empty honey box.

The bees were flying in and out even with the wind and I could smell the heather honey at the enterance.

Quick check weaker hive has laid down 7 frames, the strong hive 10 in one box , 7 in the next so they got the new super. So happy as I was worried they would struggle.

Decided to do some tumps, hills with 30m promince. First one easy as just above the hives, then I followed the ridge past hives to second one. Down to a bothy for a wee reccy.

Third one surrounded by higher hills then last one which had a bothy built into the hill. A cracking bothy, I ate cake and hydrated. Spookily the embers of the fire relit must have been quest last night.(see extra for interior).

Down tge track and back to eco sons, he is away so sat with a pot of tea before heading home. 

Dogs walked with eco mum.
