An Unexpectedly Early Start
After our late night, I was looking forward to a proper lie-in. No such luck. Sunday kicked off with a very early phone call from my cousin’s daughter. She’s down here for the wedding and was feeling really unwell, and unsure what to do. She didn’t want to wake her Gran—my Auntie—too early, as she knew it would send her into overdrive and straight to A&E. Her mum doesn't live in the UK, so instead, she rang me.
A call to 111 and a long wait to speak to a doctor led to a trip to the chemist for antibiotics—all before I’d even had breakfast.
The rest of the day was much calmer, spent crocheting and catching up with qualifying and the Hungarian Grand Prix. I’m honestly a bit worried about Hamilton—he looks like he’s just had enough.
This photo is of our lunch: homemade bibimbap. I even made a miso soup to go alongside. It was absolutely delicious, if a touch on the spicy side. It really does pay to get a proper good quality gochujang though.
