Rolls Royce

We went to Harewood House today. We bought annual membership in the spring and hadn't been back since so decided it was about time! There was a Rolls Royce (and Bentley) event on - owners brought their cars and had a picnic. So we thought we'd go along and try to take photos of the cars. I don't think I have a photo that includes a whole car! They were all parked at an angle so you couldn't get side-on to most of them. So we mostly focussed on the detail instead.

I think we decided we aren't that enamoured with Rolls Royces in the end. Most were either 1980s boxy things or modern ones more like trucks. However there were a couple of dozen much older ones from the 1930s/1940s that had interesting wheel arches, swoopy curves and wheels with spokes!

After lunch we had a wander around other bits of the estate we'd not seen last time. Tea and cake was also consumed.
