Rock head - Pointe de Rochefroide

We took the bus along the coast this morning and got off half way to Cancale. We then walked along the coastal path to Cancale. It was a bit overcast and cloudy, so not supper hot and though the sun came out as we arrived at the headland it was very nice walking weather.

The main blip is the Pointe de Rochefroide, which I think looks very much like a head. The extra - best seen full screen - is the Île des Landes viewed from Pointe du Grouin which is at the northern most tip of Cancale.

The bus was a bit of a joke, it was late going both ways and the driver wasn't the most helpful on the way out. The old ticketing system is almost impossible to read how many trips you have left on your ticket, and the new ticketing system isn't exactly much better. The bus was actually a school-run coach, so several steps to get in, and quite cramped and not at all suited as a bus and definitely not low floor easy access.

We've been along the route of the bus/walk many times, but we normally go by bike - which is a lot more athletic, faster and you burn a lot more calories, but you don't see as much. The coastal walk is dead easy to navigate and other than a few steep sections is very easy walking if you've got proper boots on.

So today: I've walked the dog round the hippodrome, walked a long the coast, and walked the dog round the park - so I think it's time for tea and a good rest.
