Great Weekend

We have our lovely son and our lovely daughter-in-law here for the weekend.  They arrived on Friday evening.  Luckily the weather has been nice so we have been able to get out and about.

Yesterday afternoon we took them to Birkhead's Secret Garden - a favourite of ours and they loved it too.  L, our daughter in law, loves flowers and gardens and so far this year she has visited the Chelsea Flower Show, Hampton Court Flower Show and the Chelsea Physic Garden.  Pleased to say that she loved Birkhead's too even though it is quite small.

Last night we went to North Shields Fish Quay and my sister and brother-in-law came too.  Our son reckons that they sell the best fish and chips in the country and he left nothing on his plate.  Afterwards, we did a walk into Tynemouth.  It was a beautiful evening and lots of people were out and about enjoying themselves.  Sadly, they go home today as they our back at work on Monday but it has been wonderful spending time with them.
