Fat Hen

…apparently! This ‘weed’ grows around here in abundance on any bare soil. The abandoned bulldozed garden next to us is covered in it growing about 4 ft high. It’s edible.. so it says online but carries a warning about Oxalic Acid which might give you bellyache… anyone tried it? Spinachy taste apparently and eaten raw or cooked (feeling timid). The seeds are supposed to be like quinoa… but local! I would love to know if anyone has tried eating it.
Mr S spent the morning with daughter no2 in her new house mixing paint to spray doors. I had a quick video call with her  while they mixed .. I can’t wait to see their house.
I went out for supper with a friend and met some lovely people .. a very nice dinner and good company will set me up for a couple of quiet days alone.
