I love stamps

And these new ones especially. They reminded me of the time when I was just getting to know my Don. He had some summers back hiked the John Muir Trail in the High Sierras of California all alone for two weeks ( that was only the middle part of that trail). I was very impressed and was hoping that we could do the Appalachian Trail together one day. Have a look at these stamps in large. They definitely show the beauty of that trail.

Unfortunately I was never able to go on such a hike. Pretty soon after getting to know each other my endless story started with arthritis in all joints and ended with surgeries that transformed me into a bionic woman. I am very grateful that modern medicine had those solutions for my walking problems.
