Vat Spritzers

Valerie and Kent cooling off in our wine vat. Another hot, hot day.

Monsaraz in the morning, then tintinhos at the Adega, followed by lunch and nap at ours. This evening we ventured out to the Ruas Floridas in Redondo - a biennial event, dating from at least 1838, where the streets are decorated with different themes, all made of paper by local folk. The most creative we saw was the street dedicated to Da Vinci, with several working models of his inventions, plus, of course, the Last Supper and the Mona Lisa.

An even hotter day predicted for tomorrow, sigh.

Gratefuls:
- visitors who cope with the heat, cheerfully
- Miguel at the Adega being so lovely
- stunning red sun sinking in a cloudless apricot sky as we drove to Redondo
