Kia in her fav place

Went to the staddiscombe social club expecting to be able to pick up a takeaway but none were available so I just had half a Guinness and chatted to the chap who does the meat raffle! He also does a quiz night for which he dumbs down the questions! I told him about our quizzes for the memory cafe which are incredibly diverse and eccentric but at least they sometimes bring forth conversations!

Today I felt very lethargic and I think it was the result of the Guinness which I did enjoy! I made a banana loaf which I suspect is undercooked but has a good flavour and then I went to buy some replacement washing liquid but there was none in the local store! I have two books on the go, Richard’s Osman The Last Devil to Die and The Beekeeper of Aleppo,! I was more into the easy read today but will try the more intense one tomorrow

Took an evening walk across on the playing fields to watch the swallows or swifts diving down and skimming the grassin for insects and watched a spaniel casing the birds! As I walked I disturbed the moths snd crickets! And I saw a rowan tree full of berries so autumn started early too! Bed relatively early tonight!
