At 7am I crept into the garden to check on the young Collard Dove. It was in a different part of the garden but looked quite alert and healthy in spite of yesterday's trauma. One or both parents were close by most of the morning and I saw the youngster flapping its wings. But by the middle of the afternoon there was no sign of either parents nor youngster... so we assume that it had recovered and been able to fly off... I do hope that's what happened anyway.

We had a trip out to Rhossili to a sunflower farm, which the adults enjoyed... but the children did not. Hey ho!
