Diet Starts Today.
It's 2 months till we go away where I need to have stopped snoring as Mr W won't have a spare room to escape to!!
My diet is terrible. I snack a lot and don't allow enough food prep time. I have been working towards changing my relationship with food from today. Yesterday's food shop delivery was very full of green stuff. No chocolate or crisps and lots and lots of healthy (expensive) stuff. I then made a lovely prawn salad with air-dried chick peas (needed more spice). It was actually delicious. Normally it would just be a pot noodle on the Friday menu!!!!
My friends Jane and Kev popped round for the evening. It was lovely to catch up and hear their news. We sat in the gazebo (he fixed!) and drank and nibbles. (Mine was carrot sticks and tea!!!)
Just as they left I had a phone call from my brother in Cornwall. Very unusual for a Friday night. It was the worst phone call of my life to date. He told me Sam had had an accident then a seizure and was on his way to hospital. They had no idea what accident or how he was except that they thought it was a head Injury and needed me to be listed as his next of kin. I asked was it a car or motorbike accident but they said not.
I immediately called Truro hospital. They informed me he wasn't in yet but was due in 8 minutes. Having worked in A&E I knew that only serious cases are called through in advance so I started to panic even more. Getting ready to drive to Cornwall in the middle of the night.
My brother then called me again to say he had more information and that Sam had fallen down some steps outside a pub as he was a bit drunk. Hit his head and was sick as he was concussed. He told me not to worry as a friend was with him who would be able to take him home.
I was a bit confused as I was getting conflicting messages so thought I would just try Sam himself!!!
He then responded and told me not to worry. Turns out he's tried a weed vape which made him sick and pass out momentarily but he didn't hit his head.
He felt absolutely fine and was cross with everyone for over reacting and calling me. He ended up discharging himself from hospital and got home at 2am!!!!
Wow. That went from 0-100 I in a very short time but something I don't want to have to go through again!
