The Road Ahead
Late morning I travelled to the oldest son's house in Cwmbran (South Wales, UK) to watch the first match of the season for Cardiff City FC v Peterborough, in League 1, that kicked off at 12.30pm.
Cardiff dominated the match and won 2-1 with two superb goals. It was a team of youngsters as we've made no signings, but loads of the senior players have gone in the clear out following our relegation. Another 45 matches to play: Let's hope the road ahead is as sweet as this first win!
On the way home to Herefordshire, I stopped at Miller's Bridge that crosses the River Usk at Llanvihangel Gobion, near Abergavenny (Monmouthshire, South Wales). I cross it many times a week and this is the first time I've walked the river bank. The photo' shows The Skirrid (top right) and to the left is The Sugar Loaf mountain. A beautiful sunny day.
Mrs BB and I will pop out early this evening for a bite to eat. It won't be late as we're up early in the morning for a trip to Devon.
