Joust For Fun
We spoke too soon.
The first time we needed to use the bathroom light after it got dark yesterday we realised that the bathroom and back entrance lights were still not working. Brian messaged the electrician and he said he would come and sort it today.
True to his word, he came this morning and now, finally, it is all sorted. (I hope!)
After lunch Brian and I went to the castle where they have a medieval weekend. We saw an excellent falconry display with a lovely Barn Owl, a Kestrel and a bigger Harris Hawk. It is amazing how trainable these rescue birds are and how their personalities shine through.
We watched a quite madcap guy of around 60 in jester garb juggling with flaming sticks, fire eating and other stunts and after that the main event - jousting!
It wasn't the showy type - they meant business! It was fantastic to watch! It was a contest between England and Australia which England narrowly won!
A lot of standing was involved today which made my back ache - I need to get back into practice! It's rare I just stand these days, I am either walking/moving around the house or sitting/lying down. A few minutes in waterfall pose fixed it when I got home!
All today's photos are camera ones so worse than my phone ones. The phone seems more intuitive and has a better editor, but some types of shots are not possible on the phone. I really need to learn how to use the camera properly!
