Get out of my kitchen & rattle those pots and pans
My mother always complained about her 'silly little kitchen' and to be fair, it was a silly little kitchen. Only enough room for the sink and the cooker and a very small bench, so the only work space was really the single draining board next to the sink. The house was only a semi- but was built around 1905 when there was still a bit of an expectation that the family would employ a cook and, of course, staff could 'make do'. There was another small back room next to the kitchen which was probably designed as the cook's work space and we had bell pushes in each room around the house which rang an old fashioned indicator board in the back room which showed which bell had been pushed. Just for the record I can tell you that we definitely didn't employ a cook and the bells were normally used to irritate our parents.
I think even my mother would have been glad of her silly little kitchen over this one though. I was out early as W was expecting a parcel but needed to go out so I had to be back before she went. My phone told me that rain would stop shortly so as it wasn't raining I didn't bother with a jacket; unfortunately what my phone should have said was that rain would start shortly, so I got rather wet.
This kiddies kitchen had been left outside a charity shop in town so I thought it would do for this month's 'Silly Saturday' challenge.
