Heading East

A travel day: close to a 2 hour taxi drive up out of the Jiuzhai valley and through the mountains towards a spanking new Huanglong airport, another 2 hours to wait on the plane then a quick hop back to Chengdu’s new and huge Tianfu airport, built a few years ago as an overflow airport and already handling 60m passengers a year, a 4 hour wait this time but pretty relaxed before the 2 hour plus flight to Hangzhou and our final stop fir a few days back in Eastern China. For once I was smart enough to organise a pick-up to take us to our hotel in the middle of town, don’t think I would’ve handled any airport taxi hassle too well! Almost made it before midnight, a lot of travelling done but problem free!
