The Greatest Gathering + Michael Portillo

We spent today at this sell out event at Alstom’s railway works in Derby. It was a 200th birthday party for British Railways. Every memorable British steam, diesel, electric and even hydrogen powered locomotives were gathered here for a three day festival described by some as The Glastonbury of Railways. Jeremy Vine and Pete Waterman were among the throng. A true wallow in nostalgia and vision of trains to come!
