Trying to get in

This rose is right up against the living room window.
Today didn't go quite as planned. The morning was to be phonecalls, housework and a run, with more housework and gardening this afternoon (I've hardly done any housework since home from holiday and some things can't be left too long).
I'd done the phoning and started cleaning the bathroom when the friend in hospital phoned to say she was being discharged and any chance I could pick her up. I didn't have the car at that point so I phoned Mr Rat who was just about to come home. 
A trip to the hospital and then her house where we had a cuppa and I made her a sandwich for lunch before I came home.
I did a bit of gardening and picked a load of veg, some of which we ate for tea, and then went for the run and collected the prescription I'd previously failed to do. I took the camera but didn't notice anything blipworthy, hence the garden rose.
Back home and some emergency admin to sort (fortunately easy) and post-meal it was work on Sunday's service.
