Life Goes On

I was reading today about places which have a significantly higher percentage of centenarians. These included communities in Sardinia, Costa Rica, Japan and a Seventh-Day Adventist community in California. Longevity in these places was attributed largely to diet but also seemed to be affected by other factors including family bonds and lifestyle. Reading articles like this you inevitably start thinking yes I tick that box but no I don't really tick those boxes. Also I don't really aspire to live to 100 but hope to live the best life I can in my later years. Walking has always been part of me from a very early age and I try to walk somewhere most days. Today we were up on the common again, so another blip from the same area as yesterday. I liked this toast from the Sardinian rural community featured in the article, "May you live to 100", "And may you be here to count the years".
