Bournemouth in bloom

Wasted the morning on the computer/mobile. Just as we were about to go out at 2:30 pm – the bell rang. Asked who it was - they said police. They explained they were following up a recent call.

Invited the two PCs in. There has been escalation in incidents all around, Far more than when we first moved here - the last being a week ago when our very respectable friend had a can of beer thrown over him on his way back to the hotel.

The police tried to provide reassurance
- but what we want is more police on the beat and a better response to unpleasant incidents. They agreed that the on-line report form for lesser crimes takes too long to complete. But insisted it's important to submit as it assists them to identify areas needing more patrols..

After they'd gone, we walked into town and round Westbourne.

Took a similar photo just a few days ago, but after yesterday's rain, I thought the flowers look particularly beautiful
