Happy Yorkshire Day
Today is August 1st and a happy Yorkshire Day to all Blippers - whether you were born in the Broad Acres or not :-) :-)
This Blip is a painting by the late, great, local watercolour artist Donald Crossley and is just about my most treasured painting. Bought for me by Mrs. MD it depicts Stoodley Pike, a monument high on the moors above Hebden Bridge and Todmorden. It is very similar to the view seen from my bedroom window as I grew up in Mankinholes. I love it.
The news on Mrs. MD is that her hip replacement was a success and she is back home, rather uncomfortable and very tired. Today as been a 'day of rest' for her - she's slept through most of it. Thank you all for your very kind wishes - they were much appreciated. I love you all ..... :-) xxx
