The castle in the middle of Lochindorb cannot have been a very safe place to defend – easy to lay siege to, and not able to store much food or weapons.
I flew my drone from the northern bank because we used to use Lochindorb as a starting point for navigation exercises on the Jaguar conversion course; it was easy to find even if the inertial navigation kit decided to "dump", a rather frequent occurrence.
And connected with that castle is Randoph's Leap: a gorge leapt by a member of the Clan Comyn when being chased by Randolphs – see Extra.
