Wet outside

If it's wet outside for a large part of the day, then it's a good time to work on the mobile for grandchild number two.

Starting tomorrow, a chess friend of E's is coming to stay here for the next eight days. The two of them are participating in a tournament together, and we can easily drive from here to it every day. It’s fun for the boys, but also an extra pair of hands for me. In return for staying here S will be helping E at nights so we can sleep without
the alarms for some nights. It was the idea of the boys, very very sweet! I’m pretty sure by the way I will wake up halfway the night completely shaken up for thinking that I missed the alarm :-D
It’s a very long time since we slept without any alarms…
