Little Stars

Another day looking after the grandchildren.
We made chocolate cake which was a messy affair with two of them helping!

There were 3 stages of messiness
First, the actual cake making
Second, the decorating with jam, chocolate icing and little stars.
Third, the stage which I naively wasn’t expecting to be quite so messy was the eating of it!
The icing was very soft!

It was a nice cake I have to say but my two little helpers who are little stars in my eyes (I am biased) shall make cookies next time with Granny.
I really hope the cookies will be less messy!
