Time to go say goodbye
We've made a detour of approximately 10 kilometers through the pedestrians tunnel to the ferry. Someone suggested it and since we had time enough before departure, we wanted to finf out whether it was worth it.
Well, it was. A cliff lift, we did not used the one in Saltburn, took us down, real deep down, and then the tunnel lay before us. The advice to go and experience was not overrated. It really was the trouble of making the detour worth while.
At the end of the tunnel was the second cliff lift and off we went. To the ferry.
We enjoyed being in England (and yesterday in Scotland without any doubt). The cycling was very hard in times, but the nature made up for it. We also enjoyed meeting all the people we've met.
Ah well, reminiscing, we sat like two old ladies on the right side of the ship, by the window. Letting the country disappear, we started speaking about next year.
