Early starter

This is hawthorn. It was only after downloading the photo that I spotted the spiders' webs all over the bursting leaves. There must have been a spider or two in there...

It is always the first tree I notice coming back to life at this time of year. The new leaves look so fragile and vulnerable, but whatever weather is thrown at them they will doggedly continue to extend and develop. Tough as boots.

Unlike me. I have been feeling a bit under the weather today; sneezy and woozy. So after a morning of relatively easy work in G's garden, I have lazed away the rest of the day, snoozing, watching videos and reading. 

Bean has loved the company. We have supervised each other relaxing in the sun.
