Hot & Humid

What a hot & humid start to the day! Looking out the kitchen window I could hardly even see MiniMe sitting on the railing, impatiently waiting for her breakfast.

I made raspberry muffins and brownies this morning so that I could take a dozen of each next door as Gabriel’s family has finally moved in.

They have 3 children, a teenage daughter, a son about 8 and a son about 3. The wife doesn’t speak English so it will take a while for us all to get comfortable with one another.

I have been completely deaf in my left ear since the age of four, thanks to the measles. As life has gone on, I’ve lost a little hearing in my right ear. For our 30th anniversary, which is mid August, my husband has bought me Air Pod Pro 2s.

They arrived today and I set them up and put them in the hearing aid mode. I have to be honest and tell you I wasn’t expecting much. I heard things this afternoon that I’ve never heard before!

I can hear the air handler in the attic when it comes on. I’ve been in this house 30 years and never heard it before. I only need to turn the TV volume to 60% of what I was turning it to before.

I’ll be interested to see what it’s like to use it in a group setting when we go out tomorrow night.
