Tokyo Bistro
We drove to North Bend this afternoon to have Don’s bike repaired. Without a bike, I am his driver for everything and that is a lot more than I want to do at the moment.
The bike shop was perfect, the drive also. The lunch in this little restaurant was very good, a recommendation that I am glad I followed. The visit of the town was not as satisfying. For once my favorite coffee place was closed for the afternoon, and my hubby felt disoriented in this neighboring town, as he hadn’t been there often enough to remember anything. That meant that he was always walking behind me. I tend to talk to him the whole time, but when he is behind me and I have a hard time to turn around my head because of my stiff neck, that doesn’t make for a lively conversation … I just have to check every once in a while that he is still there.
I love to hold his hand when we walk, it gives me a feeling of closeness, but also stabilizes my wobbly gait. That is also not possible when he is behind me.
I often ask for his opinion but seldom get an answer . He has no more opinion. So sad to see him progress on this merciless Alzheimers road.
