Community

It was really good to meet my friends, K & S, for lunch at Flo's, the Place in the Park today. It's a brilliant place: a community-owned and -run cafe, a nursery, a forest school, a gardening group, family and community events, food support, a wholefood refill shop, a base for the community midwives... It grew out of a local campaign to keep the children's centre building in community use after its funding was cut in 2016. So impressive.

The rain started after we'd sat ourselves under the covered outside tables, stopped just as we were about to leave, and started again just as I reached home and was bringing in my and my neighbours' bins.
