Musings of a Mortal

The Fearless Ladybird...

Its been a day for just pottering about the house - the weather has been dull, overcast but pleasantly warm also - spent most of the day cleaning the outside of the car as it had been attacked by little beasties (or did it attack them??) during our trip down to Lincoln and Devon in the summer - One day I just might get some back blips down with a record of our fab holiday down south.

Just started reading a book called "Fearless" by Max Lucado - Inspired by a quote from the book that I first saw someone posting on facebook (tried to find out who posted it but the memory is going these days..) and it simply said this

"Fear never wrote a symphony or poem, negotiated a peace treaty, or cured a disease. Fear never pulled a family out of poverty or a country out of bigotry. Fear never saved a marriage or business. Courage did that. Faith did that. People who refused to consult or cower to their timidities did that. But fear itself? Fear herds us into prison and slams the doors. Wouldn't it be great to walk out?"

Sometimes I am struck with fear and sometimes the fear of failure stops me from trying new things - but yet I needn't be afraid - I just need to trust Him who created me, who loves me and who guides my path - and so to today's picture - A ladybird enjoying the freedom of the Garden and the food that it will find there - free to fly where it wants....fearless!
