Thundering

A stormy afternoon - thunder, lightning and torrential rain. We were out at the shops and got quite wet.

Mum’s neighbour Mary had been invited around for coffee this morning. It’s good that Mum has good friends and neighbours who look out for her, and Uckfield is a friendly town with plenty of community groups and lots going on.

I cooked revithada (Greek Chickpea stew) for our tea tonight. It is a famous recipe in our family, usually requested for a homecoming meal. I know I have shared it on blip before, but I watch this video again and again, just to hear about the “sexy chickpeas” and “rosemary, best friend of lemon”. I foraged this rosemary while we were sheltering from the rain :-)
