Lisbon Day One

Alfie dropped us at Stansted just after 7.30am and we were through security by 7.45. The joys of Fasttrack and hand luggage only! Kudos to Ryanair who got everyone boarded promptly with no hanging about. I’ve never, ever been through, on and up so quickly. The flight was fine and soon we were landing in sunny Lisbon. After checking into our hotel we went straight out to investigate the city. 2 things to note, there are a lot of hills and the pavements are made of mosaics of small pieces of shiny stone . They’re so slippery I nearly went flying about a dozen times. I kept thinking about how my parents would manage.
After lunch and a drink in a trendy rooftop bar we continued our wandering. There’s a lovely street of designer shops just round the corner from the hotel. Nice for window shopping.
We queued for dinner at Bonjardin, a renowned chicken restaurant which had been recommended to us. It was worth queuing up for. We’re currently having a nightcap and listening to live music in a bar (of which there are many). I couldn’t choose just one photo so put together a selection of photos from the day for my blip.
Lots more to investigate tomorrow!
