Awesome day

Had the best day off today.

I drank tea in bed and read my book for a bit and then we headed over to Creetown for the much anticipated Gem and Rock Museum - I was told it was good but didnt expect it to be *that* good. I didnt want to leave but I did treat myself to a rather special souvenir. It would be worth the drive down from Edinburgh just to visit that alone.

We then stopped by Cairn Holy to see the ancient burial sites and stunning views. 

Then we stopped just outside Gatehouse of Fleet to do a 10 mile walk down to a beautiful sandy beach - Sand Green. Absolutely beautiful scenery and weather. Just what the doctor ordered. 

An early start tomorrow to get set up in the Kirkudbright Parish Hall and see whats what (information has not been in abundance its fair to say).
