The old meets the New

The Old Meets the New
2 Corinthians 5:17 — “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!


Today, I’m sitting with the weight of these words.
Not just reading them but letting them sink in.
The old has gone.

All the versions of me that were led by fear, doubt, or striving for approval… they’ve met something greater. They’ve met grace. And grace doesn’t shame the past, it transforms it.

There was a time I clung to old habits, old patterns, and old stories I told myself. That I wasn't enough. That change was too far. That purpose was for other people. But in Christ, I’ve been given a new name, a new path, a new heart.

This newness doesn’t mean I don’t stumble or forget, it means I’m no longer defined by what once was.

The old meets the new every time I choose truth over lies. Faith over fear. Progress over perfection.


And with each day, I see it more clearly: I’m not who I was
and I thank God for that.

Because the old met Jesus… and everything changed.
