It’s still summer

It may be a bit overcast, but that’s no stopping this chap from having his day at the beach.

Portobello seemed like ‘Little Italy’ today, as there were zillions of Italians kids all over the place. These kids are spending some of their summer here as part of Accedemia Britannica summer camp scheme. They were easily identified by their lovely branded red backpacks. 

They were obviously having a day out at the beach and I’m sure Porty on an overcast day with leaden skies compared favourably with the likes of Portofino and the Amalfi coast. A definite culture shock I’m sure. 

My extra is of them Italian kids getting the local bus to their next destination, which may be Clerwood, a housing estate in west Edinburgh if they don’t get off early enough!
