Meadow Brown & WFW25_Results

This was taken quite early this morning while there was a lot of cloud around but it was still bright.  This afternoon that's changed to flashes of sunshine interspersed with thunder and torrential rain,  I thought I was going to have another flood in the conservatory.  Luckily I didn't, but I shall have to talk to the builders again as at one point the guttering is sagging badly with the quantity of rain it's trying (and failing) to deal with.

But back to biz.  I found this meadow brown butterfly at the bottom of the Green by the Nuns' Stream, sitting on a leaf and goggling at the camera.  It seemed to give me a pair with the butterfly face I posted at the end of June, though wouldn't it be fab to have a proper macro lens to get really close in on these funny furry faces?

Apart from one other, slightly unattractive, trip out the day's been a quiet one.  I've done the ironing, become a fraction bemused by a letter confirming the date of a hospital appointment I had on 9th July and given myself some good reading time as a cheerer upper.  (That last, it always works!)
