ABSTRACT THURSDAY - REFLECTIONS

After listening to the weather forecast last night and then consulting his weather app, Mr. HCB decided not to drive to Cheltenham today for the cricket - and what a good job he didn’t - just after 2 o’clock, play was abandoned for the day!  

As most of you will know, when summer comes, I am usually Number 3 on his list of priorities, but today, I was bumped up to Numero Uno - mainly because cricket was rained off and the pitch and our garden was saturated with all the rain!  However, I guess better to be up there and enjoying one another’s company than not!

I had already told Heather that I wouldn’t be at the Community Fridge today, so Mr. HCB said he would take me out for coffee.  We had one or two other errands to run, so we went to Jack’s, where I looked at the theme for today, which is “Reflection” and just happened to see my reflection in one of the overhead lights.  Jane, one of the waitresses was passing by, so I snuck a quick shot of both of us and was pleased with the result, which is my main shot today.  I used my Carbon app to put a border around the shot and here it is - I showed Jane and she was quite happy - and I told her I would pay her the modelling fees next time I saw her!!

Mr. HCB was chatting to Jane, so as I looked out of the window, I happened to see this lovely lady, Suzanne, waiting at the bus stop, so ran out to speak to her.  She is a lady I have known for over 10 years now, and I met her quite by chance on 16 April, 2015, and she always makes me smile whenever I see her.  Mr. HCB obviously wondered where I had gone, so after a quick chat with Suzanne, I went back in to pay and then we both came out and had another word with her and you can see them in as an extra.

The rain was hammering down as we had our lunch, in fact, we could hardly hear ourselves speak as we sat in our conservatory, but our garden and many others will be so grateful for this rain.  Mr. HCB watched a few balls being bowled in the Test Match, but then the heavens opened there too, so I have put another shot in as an extra - don’t suppose the team members have run as fast as that for a while!
