Continuing with all things old!

I suppose my theme here is pre-metric.  This photograph shows a petrol pump (gas for our American friends) which delivered fuel measured in Imperial gallons.  Bring back imperial measures I say ;-).  I understand that in the UK fuel sold by the gallon ended on 30 September 1995.  So this pump hasn't been used for thirty years and it is still standing as a reminder of our pre-metric days.  I still think in miles per gallon!!
