I saw these books advertised and thought they looked interesting so ordered them from my online bookstore. Instead of explaining how to knit it tells you why things happen when you knit in a certain way. Sort of the science behind it all. Maybe I will pick up some tips.

The extra shows the plants that I picked up while on my little walk. They are Lewisia, a perennial I haven’t seen for sale before. I will plant them in 3 hanging pots where last seasons geraniums have met their end. After my walk I called in to see Lee. She only gets out for medical appointments so appreciates some company.

Earlier in the day I finished pruning the roses. Now it’s time to sit and finish off the tea cosy while watching an Agatha Christie on telly.
