Hands up all those who turn 21 today!
Rubbish, blurry photo but I love it. This is my boy on his 21st birthday today, dancing on stage, at the Castello in Milan, with one of his best mates. Leo is leaving the company soon, so after three years of school, and a year in a company together it will be one of the last times they share a stage - unless of course they both end up somewhere else together in the future, which is always a possibility.
21 feels like he’s a proper grown up now, but not so old that he didn’t love the embarrassing mum stunt I pulled this morning by appearing on national radio to request a song for his birthday! I’d intended my message to just be read out by the lovely Toby on radio x, the station of choice in this household. However his producer phoned me up and asked if I wanted to speak to Toby on air! Rather more interesting morning than I envisaged.
Jack at 21:
Lives in Milano, and is quite handy at Italian conversation these days.
Has travelled to 14 countries in the last twelve months.
Loves F1 racing, my years of indoctrination have worked!
Is his sister’s biggest cheerleader, still quite the team, even now as young adults.
Is a super hardworking young man who is always looking for something to do.
Is always kind with his words and actions.
Has amazing plans for his future.
Never been prouder of my boy than this year, love you x
