Ripening well

Overcast morning dog walk.  

Solicitor emailed that she believed the bottom of the chain have a mortgage extension.  Both Mr and I sceptical until it's confirmed.  We have had a dubious episode of paperwork being sent but not found in a post room and then the following week told paperwork was now signed.

Quick market and supermarket shop after breakfast. 

Readeasy student after lunch.

Heard this afternoon that at last contracts have been exchanged.  Which is good news.

Mr contacted removal company.  Our moving date was pencilled in last week for 14 August.  Seems another removal may is being considered by the company.  Just when we're almost there.  Mr left a voice message to say we're ready with contracts exchanged.  Hopefully we won't have to re-arrange another date.  These glitches do take their toll.  I'm calm on the outside, Mr isn't.  Patience is like an elastic band, too much stretching and it loses its resistance.  Hoping tomorrow will make matters clear.

The plums on our tree are ripening with one or two the past few days ready to eat.
