Neon Pink!

Today I went to the Storey Garden in Lancaster. AKA "The Tasting Garden."

It's a bit of a hidden gem, with a lot of people not knowing it's even there. It sits behind the Storey Institute, on Castle Hill, and has several apple, pear, plum, and medlar trees. There used to be lots of other plants that one could taste or smell, but over the last few years the purpose of the gardens has changed, and it is now more concentrated on British flowers, wild flowers and plants, and conservation.

But it changes all the time, with the volunteer gardeners working hard to make sure it's a welcoming place, and always free to visit.

Today among the anemones, and wild flowers, these stood out to me. They are almost glowing like neon lights! And no, that's no editing; the only editing here is converting from RAW to JPG.

I thought anything that caught my eye from afar as these did deserved the Blip today.

Fortunately I caught them just before the rain came, and took shelter in the Storey until the brief downpour passed by.

One of the white anemones (I can never say or write that word without thinking of the Muppets' song Mahna Mahna) that are also in the garden is today's extra.
