Dolphins and e-bikes

Incredible day today.

We took a dolphin watch boat trip and it was wonderful. We saw 2 pods of common dolphins and witnessed a guest appearance of a well known bottlenosed female dolphin called Billy.

There were so many. So so many. And they came so close to the boat. They were playful too with lots of leaps and bounds, twists and twirls. The biggest delight was the number of calves.

I went for a lane swim at the pools before having lunch at the apartment and then the afternoon offered a first for me.

We hired 4 e-bikes for 3 hours and toured the island. I had no problem mastering the ridiculously steep climbs with all the turbo boost available - that was fantastically good fun. And I loved the ease of just pootling along for gentle miles up and down. My problem was the steep downhills and the multiple u-turns into traffic. Ugh. I’d do it again though.

The ultimate aim was to go round the whole island and pass through Europa Point. You can see Morocco from there and we did!
